Captain Skip Bradeen arrived in the Florida Keys for a two-week vacation on
Sept. 23, 1964, in a 64 Chevy Impala - the only new car he has ever owned - and
never left.
He started his Keys career as a deckhand at Islamoradas Whale Harbor Marina and
in 1966 established the business that became Blue Chip Too Charters. Today,
taking anglers out on his 52-foot Blue Chip Too, he is one of the top charter
captains on Americas East Coast. His clients have included such notables as
baseball great Mickey Mantle, actors Paul Newman and Don Johnson and American
